How does the 7-day free trial work?
You get full access to every feature for 7 days. No credit card required upfront. At day 7, your account becomes read-only until you subscribe — your data is never deleted.
Do I get my own website automatically?
Yes. The moment you sign up, your business gets a free public storefront at yourshop.eyescribe.co.ke. Your logo, brand colours, products, locations and opening hours are all there. Customers can browse, add to cart, submit quote requests, or message you on WhatsApp.
Can I import my existing customer data?
Yes. Eye Scribe has a CSV importer for both customers and products. Upload your spreadsheet, match the columns to our fields (we auto-suggest), and import in seconds. Phone numbers in any common format auto-normalise.
How do prescriptions work?
Create digital Rx records with full SPH/CYL/AXIS values for both eyes, PD measurements, lens type, coating, and frame description. Set an expiry date and Eye Scribe will auto-remind the customer 30 days, 7 days, and 1 day before expiry — and again the day it expires.
What payment methods can my customers use?
M-Pesa STK Push (East Africa), card payments via Pesapal, and bank transfers. You can also record cash payments manually. All payments are automatically reconciled to the right invoice.
What about subscription billing?
Pay monthly or yearly via M-Pesa, Visa, Mastercard, or Airtel Money through Pesapal's secure checkout. Yearly subscriptions get 2 months free.
Is my data safe?
Yes. Each business has fully isolated data with row-level security in the database. We use bank-grade encryption for credentials, daily database backups, and SSL everywhere.
